THE
DEFINITION OF A LABOR UNION: “PEOPLE TRYING TO GET THE BLESSINGS
OF GOD WITHOUT BEING A BLESSING TO GOD.”
Nobody is for an unsafe work place, and for that unions can take
some credit. I think the OSHA law went a little too far, and it
in part, is responsible for a rise in the cost of living, in that,
we all know that the consumer pays for all price increases that
are caused by OSHA restrictions.
I feel very strongly that they (the unions) are part of the poverty
problem that they say they are seeking to relieve. In wanting
higher wages, they raise the cost of living, which in turn, makes
the cost of living go higher. To add insult to injury, they collect
union dues, part of which goes to elect liberal politicians, who
make laws that cause the need for higher taxes and even higher
costs of living. For this and other reasons I can truly say I
hope I never have to work for a union company.
Labor unions should be happy about jobs at whatever pay. If people
ever turn to living off the land and shunning materialism, there
are going to be some real hard times in this country.
