EVER WONDER WHY?

Do you ever wonder why:

...TV producers and archaeologists don't seem to be offended by the paganism practiced by ancient peoples and yet have no tolerance for the God of the Old Testament?
They say it is important to see who they were so we can know where we are going or where we have been. They wonder where they have gone. Why did they disappear? The scholars have ignored the Bible, and they miss the whole point of the non-mystery; those idolatrous people have been done away with because they had become a stench in the nostrils of God. They bow down and sacrifice their young to idols and many other things contrary to God's Laws. God has vomited them out of the land and/or destroyed them from off the face of the earth. To the Bible believer there is no mystery, only fact.
To those that refuse to see and hear the real answer, let it be known - there isn't enough money in the world to get the answer that you are digging for.

...the liberals are all for killing babies; and letting killers go free?

...there was a protest over the picture of a bin full of aborted babies; and not the babies themselves?

...God and the Bible got kicked out of school; yet Christmas, Easter, and Halloween could stay?

...good people don't go around killing bad people; and make the world a better place?
...people protest the use of fur products; and support a woman’s right to have an abortion?
Maybe there should be a group called, People For The Ethical Treatment of Unborn Babies!!!

...environmentalists want to save the forests; and yet live in wood houses?

...environmentalists protest the use of hydro power, nuclear power, coal power and still use electricity.

To every thing there is a season

and a time to every purpose under the heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted
A time to kill, and a time to heal
A time to break down, and a time to build up
A time to weep, and a time to laugh
A time to mourn, and a time to dance
A time to cast away stones,

and a time to gather stones together
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing
A time to get, and a time to lose
A time to keep, and a time to cast away
A time to rend, and a time to sew
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak
A time to love, and a time to hate
A time of war, and a time of peace

ANTI-WITCHCRAFT SCRIPTURES
You will see by the following scriptures that we should take witchcraft seriously. Witchcraft and anything close to it should be avoided at all costs.

Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

Leviticus 19:26,31

26. Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times. 31. Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 20:6,27

6. And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. 27. A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

Deuteronomy 18:9-14

9. When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 11. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. 13. Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. 14. For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

1 Samuel 28:3,7-9

3. Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land. 7. Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. 8. And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee. 9. And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?

2 Kings 9:22 And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

2 Kings 17:17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.

2 Kings 21:6-9

6. And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger. 7. And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the Lord said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever: 8. Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them. 9. But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the Lord destroyed before the children of Israel.

1 Chronicles 10:13-14

13. So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord, even against the word of the Lord, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it; 14. And inquired not of the Lord: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.

2 Chronicles 33:6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.

Psalms 58:5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

Isaiah 8:19-22

19. And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? 20. To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. 21. And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. 22. And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.

Isaiah 19:3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

Isaiah 44:24-25.

24. Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; 25. That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;

Isaiah 47:9,13

9. But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. 13. Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.

Isaiah 57:3 But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.

Jeremiah 27:9 Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:

Jeremiah 29:8 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

Ezekiel 21:21-23

21. For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver. 22. At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort. 23. And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.

Micah 5:12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:

Nahum 3:4 Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.

Malachi 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts.

Acts 8:9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

Acts 13:6,8-10

6. And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: 8. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 9. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, 10. And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

Acts 16:16-19

16. And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: 17. The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. 18. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. 19. And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,...

Acts 19:19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Galatians 5:19-21

19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Revelation 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

God will not tolerate nor be gracious to people involved in any form of witchcraft.

NEEDED REFORMS

1. Bible study atmosphere.
2. Children's church.
3. Believer's communion.
4. Common sense buildings.
5. At least one open Sunday School class - for all ages to attend.
6. New converts must attend church and Sunday school long enough to be
evaluated by the elders before being allowed to teach.
7. Circle seating arrangement.
8. Back to the elder system.
9. More hours for Sunday School.
10. No paid preachers.
11. No more stuffy formalism.
12. Ban "passing the plate" collections.
13. Ban paganism from church - Christmas, Easter, Halloween etc.

The structure of the church should have been more like Israel was before the raising up of the kings of Israel. God was rejected as the head of the nation by the man-made leaders of the hierarchy in Jerusalem just as was the Holy Spirit rejected after the departure of Jesus. That Hierarchy should have never been. The consequence of its existence was just as disastrous as the kings of Israel were to the nation of Israel.

When Titus the Roman scattered the people of Israel, Roman religious authorities took over what they understood was the Christian Church.

Some of the reasons I can’t be a part of today’s church in addition to the above reasons are: Some of the church doctrines and activities are the “Babylon” that we are to come out of according to Revelation 18:4. To be a part of them is to await God’s judgment.

Concerning collections: We should be using the pattern shown in 2 Kings 12:9. You bore a hole into a chest and let the people put in what they want, when they want to. In the church today, we are so quick to adopt an Old Testament way of doing things but we miss this one.

SCOFIELD REFERENCE BIBLE

Oxford Press has done a great injustice to C.I. Scofield, for the sake of money. They hold the copyright to his Reference Bible. It, in several places, steps on the toes of various religious groups and those of certain beliefs. It, being the personal comments of Scofield at the beginning of and throughout various books of the Bible.

Oxford, or whoever was ultimately responsible for the publication of the New Scofield Reference Bible, took it upon themselves to take out the "barbs" so those that were offended with the Old Scofield Reference Bible, would buy the New. It was a very bold investment. People remember for a long time and it seems like it would take at least one generation to remove the offense from the buying public. The positive step is that the rest of his notes will no doubt be a great blessing to Bible students that otherwise wouldn't even bother to pick up the Old.

The quality and feel of the Oxford Press Bible is second to none. When you buy a Bible it should be one of quality, so it will give many years of service and have character. Oxford, knowing that, only wanted to get into that market, which is why they are in the business. Who can blame them for that? I only hope and pray that they never get rid of the Old version, because that is what Scofield really had to say. His comments are what the church really needs today. They are blunt and to the point. We are in the age of "soft soap" and I don't think anyone has the right to pervert and or destroy what a man has said, for the sake of profit or unity.

I will not be able to put all the changes into this publication, but I hope to put in enough to make a strong point.

I must address the little pieces of "cover up" I found in the introduction to the 1967 edition (New). "The committee feels, as C.I. Scofield felt of his 1909 and 1917 editions, that its work is not absolutely final." That no doubt is true, but "the committee" took liberties eliminating works that Scofield no doubt wanted the reader to know, if for no other reason, to show that there are differences in interpretation. Another one reads: "Recent controversies and differing opinions have been taken into account, where necessary, in order to strengthen and clarify notes which have already brought help to many readers." I think this is really the one they use to cut up his notes, primarily as they (the notes) relate to apostasy.

Genesis 1:2, the word "without," in the Old, has a (3) by it. In the New it has a (5). The Old, makes reference to Jer. 4:23-26 and Isa. 24:1, the New, leaves them out. They are not even mentioned in connection with Isa. 45:18 (note 2). Jeremiah 4:23-26 is something that happened to "backsliding Judah" but as in other scriptures, God, says Scofield, is looking beyond the (then) present and into the future, which is why the Bible, written then, speaks to us today. In the New, there is no comment whatsoever for Jer. 4:23.

In the Old, the word "replenish" is replaced by the word "fill" in the New. It is correct, but replenish better conveys what had to be done after the "first judgment." They had to refill the world with people much like after the flood of Noah's time.

In Exodus 8:25, the Old reads, "Invariably it ends in world-conformity, world pleasing, and seeking the world's money for God..." The New reads, "This invariably ends in conformity with the world." I admit there is little difference, but in this day and age of certain TV evangelists, you can see that the Old is giving the specific warning that we Christians should be listening to. Scofield knew the traps then, and they are the same today.

Exodus 29:33 They are similar.

Leviticus 10:1 The New leaves out, "It typifies any use of carnal means to kindle the fire of devotion and praise" which is just after the reference to Col 2:23.

Judges 2:13 The Old reads: "Jeremiah refers (44:18,19) to Ashtoreth as the queen of heaven." The New stops the quote right after the scriptural reference to 2 Kings 23:13. I think this was done because the (or at least some) Roman Catholics refer to Mary as the queen of heaven.

2 Samuel 6:3 The New leaves out, "It is a constant point of failure."
Just after the 1 Sam 6:7-8 reference, they also left out, "The church is full of Philistine ways of doing service to Christ."

Jonah 1:17 The New has added quite a bit more to Jonah than the Old. The first sentence is exactly the same. Concerning the next couple, the New says, "It has been claimed that a whale could not swallow a man, etc., etc.," then goes on to say, "The real miracle is not the swallowing but the fact that Jonah was alive when he was cast out of the great fish on to the dry land." Being alive inside of a large fish is no miracle either. There have been instances in history where men and animals have lived through such a happening. When Jesus, in Matt. 12:40, said, "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." The fact that Jesus died and was in the heart of the earth, shows me that when He quoted Jonah that there is all the reason in the world to believe that Jonah (his body) was dead inside the great fish also. The last sentence is just about the same. In the New, the note in 2:1 implies that he was still alive and conscious. Our spirit can do things that our bodies can't. When the body dies, the spirit goes back to God who gave it, Eccl. 12:7. If God was not done with it here on earth, it seems reasonable to me that He could have left it long enough in the belly (sheol) for it to cry out to Him. When you read it, it sounds like it took a while. When you carefully read 2:1-10, it sure sounds like he died and considering that the spirit is eternal, it could have been a long prayer, but I doubt it. The New also makes apologies for miracles as in the case after he was put out on the beach and his speedy journey to Nineveh.

In the - From Matthew to Malachi - introduction, the New, changes, "and enslaved great numbers of the inhabitants," to "and slew many of the inhabitants. In the next sentence it leaves out December 25, and just starts with, In 168 B.C. ... In the last sentence of that paragraph the New exchanges the word "condemned" for "compelled" as it is in the Old.

1 Corinthians Introduction. The New leaves out a lot of the form and content of the Old. The most striking is the sentence that is the biggest offence to Pentecostals. "Minor disorders were due to vanity, yielding to a childish delight in tongues and the sign gifts, rather than to sober instruction (1 Cor. 14:1-28)." That little sentence is probably the main reason that group wouldn't be caught dead with the Old Scofield. It's a matter of economics for the Oxford people to make these changes.

Revelation 1:20, note (3) in the Old and (4) in the New. This section would be mostly offensive to Roman Catholics. The New, pretty much says what the Old says until it gets to the sentence just past the 3:22 reference, and ends ..."go beyond the local assemblies mentioned." From here out is where it changes. He (Scofield) basically states which churches are represented by certain conditions. I will take it up at Pergamos. "Pergamos, the church settled down in the world, "where Satan's throne is," after the conversion of Constantine, say, A.D. 316. Thyatria is the Papacy, developed out of the Pergamos state: Balaamism (worldliness) and Nicolaitanism (priestly assumption) having conquered. As Jezebel brought idolatry into Israel, so Romanism weds Christian doctrine to pagan ceremonies." I don't know about the first part, but from "Balaamism (worldliness), on, that is absolutely true. You can see that it not only steps on the toes of the Catholics, but anyone celebrating Christmas, Easter, and whatever else God never told us to do.

Revelation 2:6, note (1). The New says, "1(2:6,15) The name "Nicolaitians," according to early church fathers... refers to those who, while professing themselves to be Christian, lived licentiously." The Old says, "From nikao, "to conquer," and laos, "the people." or "laity." There is no ancient authority for a sect of the Nicolaitians. If the word was symbolic it refers to the earliest form of the notion of a priestly order, or "clergy," which later divided an equal brotherhood (Mt. 23:8), into "priests" and "laity.""

You can see that there is quite a difference between the two. The above mentioned "early church fathers" would quite naturally not agree with breaking down the word (nikao-laos) because it casts a negative shadow over being a "priest," which is something the N.T. does not teach. We are under the "elder" system today. "Know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you." 1 Thess. 5:12 Quite a different system than a paid preacher fresh out of a church school who has been "assigned" to shepherd over your flock.

There are many differences throughout the whole Bible on Scofield's notes. I have just tried to point out the most obvious. I would be horrified if someone changed my words just for the sake of money. What is even worse is, that the warnings or rebukes meant to bring one back to God's fold (because they are found to be offensive by the liberal mind) are being changed for the sake of unity and/or money. Vinegar does not attract many flies. By the same token, medicine meant to make you well is not always sweet to the taste. In 2 Corinthians 13:10, Paul declares, "Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction." No doubt there were those in the congregation that thought Paul was overstepping his authority. That opinion was probably based on their "offense" at what he said and how he said it, and that, based on their own liberalized sense of, "Let's not offend anyone" (for the sake of unity).

There is a right and a wrong, a good and a bad. Our sense of morality has to be based on the Bible, or one man's right will be another man's wrong. But even using the Bible as a guideline, if we lack the Spirit of God to teach those truths, we will be back in the dark ages.

ANIMAL RIGHTS AND ANTI-VEGETARIAN SCRIPTURES

The vegetarian and the animal rights movements are just another attack on the authority of God and His commandments to His creation. I'm certainly not for cruelty to animals; but their version of reality and life, versus mine, are two different things. The growing population and the fact that we are stuffed into cities make modern food production a necessity. If everybody, including the animal rights advocates and vegetarians, lived in a rural setting there would be less problem with this issue. The animal rights advocates protesting confinement systems should be protesting the move of the people from the land to the city. They are the cause of the need for mass production and without it there would be less food in the market place plus the prices would be sky high.

Even though the news media "puffs" whatever agenda they (the media) endorse for whatever reason (usually anti-God), this issue would die on its own merits because everybody has to eat and most people accept meat as a blessing, which it is. The health issue is another thing that is adding to the panic, by the media driven moguls for the elimination of meat from the diet. Meat eaten in proper amounts is not a health threat. Anything you over-do can kill you.

Part of the problem with this whole issue is, that the animal rights advocates are nothing more than animal worshippers in their own right. They, according to Romans 1:25, "changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." They are trying to put animals on an equal par with humans, and in some cases, God also. Part of the blame has to, believe it or not, be put on Disney and others that have put animals into human roles, starting with Steamboat Willie (better known as Mickey Mouse) and ending with (at the present) The Little Mermaid. Bambi was a real tearjerker that makes hunters look like the worst scum in the world. The attack started many years ago and is slowly picking up steam with each generation. Not so much in great numbers, but with important people in important places that are then pushing off their beliefs onto others via the various medias. Their success is based on the silence of the knowledgeable majority.

One day I was listening to Rush Limbah describe how he killed a mouse by shaking it around in a trashcan. Either later on in the broadcast or the next day a lady called and chastised him for his cruelty. She said he should have taken it out into the back yard and released it (so it could be a continual problem). It would be kind of nice for that lady to live on the station in Australia that had millions of mice overrunning everything. They ate six inches of grain out of a silo in no time flat. Her attitude toward mice would be much different if she was in that situation. She no doubt, is a second or third generation city-dweller that grew up with Mickey Mouse. The fact that mice are cute doesn't help matters any, but the reality is they stink and can carry diseases. It truly is one of God's little creatures, but we are given dominion over them and not the other way around like the animal advocates are trying to promote.

The following scriptures will point out how meat is given to us by God and is to be accepted with thanksgiving, 1 Timothy 4:3.

Genesis 9:2-3

2. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. 3. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

Genesis 18:7-8

7. And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. 8. And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

Genesis 27:3-4,9,14,17,19,25

3. Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; 4. And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. 9. Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth: 14. And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved. 17. And she gave the savoury meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob. 19. And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me. 25. And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine and he drank.

Exodus 12 deals with the Passover.

Leviticus 11:3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.

Deuteronomy 12:15,20

15. Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart. 20. When the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

Job 6:6 Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
I just had to inject this one concerning salt. Salt is just about as big of boogieman as animal fat.

Proverbs 15:17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. Better to eat vegetables and be happy, than to eat meat with strife in your house.

Isaiah 7:15,22

15. Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. 22. And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.

Isaiah 25:6. And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

Matthew 17:27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Jesus didn't think it was cruel to use a hook for fishing and as the other scripture shows, they also ate fish.

Matthew 22:4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

1 Corinthians 10:25-28

25. Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake: 26. For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof. 27. If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. 28. But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:

1 Timothy 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
Forbidding to marry hasn't really become a problem yet but encouraging someone to live together and not be married is about the same thing. The command to abstain from meats has been well upon us for many years.

Hebrews 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Food of any kind shouldn't give you the feeling of well-being, it should be the Holy Spirit based on your faith in God.

WOMEN’S LIB

Adam's Rib + Satan's Fib = WOMEN'S LIB, (McGee).

Women's lib is simply another rebellion against God. It all started in the Garden of Eden. Eve disobeyed God's command and received the judgment of a curse. It is up to all women to live under those terms of that curse. Those in rebellion, may not like the terms set forth in Genesis 3:1-24, or the value system in Leviticus 27:1-8, or the law concerning unfaithful wives in Numbers 5:11-31, or the rules of leadership in the church, in 1 Corinthians 11:3-16, or behavior in the church, home and on the street, in 1 Timothy 2:9-15 and Titus 2:3-5, but they will have to live with it. Trying to circumvent those rules and judgments will only bring about a greater disaster. We only have to look back about twenty-five years to the THALIDOMIDE era to see what happened to the children of the women that wanted to escape the "sorrow in conception" which was God's judgment. Something equally as disastrous will happen when the women try to be the head of the church or house and rule over the men and husband.

GOD

IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH

A VERY PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE

THEREFORE

WILL NOT WE FEAR

THOUGH THE EARTH BE REMOVED

AND

CARRIED INTO THE MIDST OF THE SEA

THOUGH

THE WATERS THEREOF ROAR AND BE TROUBLED

THOUGH

THE MOUNTAINS SHAKE WITH THE SWELLING THEREOF

Psalms 46:1-3
